Its not your end, its the host. More problems evidently tonight. Your account seems to have been deleted as wellas several others, it would appear somebody is hacking the forum due to poor security and patching from the host. I think your account has been recreated but you seem to have a post total of 1.TheDigitalPimP wrote:![]()

Still can't sign in to FTOOC!I've emailed Ben to see if he can help.... I've tried 4 different PC's incase it was cookies or something even though I have cleared all the IE history! All say "You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password." I am certain I have entered the correct username and pass.. afterall I'm on everyday so I think I know it by now!
Teach me to go out and play sport when I should be playing netcop

Ben keeps trying to bring us back on line but its very intermittent at the moment. Think its gone again now.

it will be interesting to see what comes out of this as although the site was compromised it would appear people took advantage of this to their own gain and chose not to inform members of the comittee about the situation. That in my opinion is almost as bad as trying to hack a forum in the first place.

I have been in contact with Ben this evening and have registered a new account on the forum. Fingers crossed they will be able to recover my posts that have vanished into the ether!trevor wrote:Its not your end, its the host. More problems evidently tonight. We have logs of all those that accessed the Private Committee Only section. So we know who those's people are.
It looks like not much harm has been done (as such). We are taking steps to move the server to another more secure host, and will be contacting ISP's of those that accessed the section.
We are taking this hack as a very serious matter, as not only can it cause harm to the Club, as a number of private information regarding Club Account numbers etc might have been seen, but also members private details could have been compromised.

Morning Ben, when will the transfer be completed to the UK, do you have a fixed date or is it something that is done over a few days, then you switch off the USA and switch on the UK server. It all sounds so simple doesn't it
You can tell I know F all about this stuff, well not much.

No exact date yet Vince.
The switch over depends on how quick the DNS is updated to reflect the change to the NameServers (they tell your computer where to go when you access www.ftooc.org). This can normally take between 24-48 hours.

To be honest, apart from the original hacker i can't see how you can flame people for looking......it's like putting a bowl of sweets infront of a kid and expecting them not to take one. People are curious, and when you see something new pop up on a forum you've been on for years you will look. I know i would've if i'd noticed it.ScriptDaddy wrote: and will be contacting ISP's of those that accessed the section.
