alu gear surrounds in oz?

Post by shue »

was just going thru the uk forums and saw the alu gear surrounds. u think there is anyone out here that makes the same sort of thing? i dont really like the rubber thingy in the car. maybe costs would come down if we could get together and make a bulk order or something

If it is the one with the screws on it that just goes around the gear lever then I also looked at these a while ago but got a price on them from the uk and they were to expensive.

The problem with that much ali is dirt.

Ali is shiney therefor gets dirty easy and shows every finger print.

Well if anyone ever comes across a full gear surround which is unsnapped (and going for less then 100bux) then please let me know! If we're looking at complete alternatives (not just adhesive coating that goes over the gear surround) then i'm happy to pay extra/

Yeah I know. Really really f**king expensive for something that's just gonna get snapped again.

I've been tryna get one second hand but any wrecked fto's i've found they've already been taken. Might see if I can get a custom plastic surround/moulding knocked up somewhere...

If you have a look at them once you've removed them, you can see just how damn easy it is to snap them.

Luckily I read about it before I attempt to do it myself and when the time came to take it out......I handled it with more care than a baby.
