oil pressure sender

bought a new oil pressure gauge... no instructions! do i screw the sender into the sump or the oil filter? cheers

You'll need to get a sender adaptor that goes behind the oil filter.
Most auto one type stores can order then in for you - just give them the part number of your oil filter

And the good news is that the V6 FTO oil filter is common across all the 6A and most of the 1990s 4G range as well, so shouldn't be too hard to find...

yep i found an adapter, cost me $45 from honk konk, and has room for 3 senders on it either pressure or temp (was a bitch of job getting it on in that tight space!!!!)

You could always take out the original oil pressure switch and replace that with the sender.
It's just above and to the right of the crankshaft pulley.

Im trying to organise a discount for a group buy

Whilst i do appreciate folks running about organising group buys *winks at Schumie fan* you can get these from any reputable auto parts store...

I bought mine from Auto One in Chatswood. All I had to do was tell them the part number of the oil filter & they ordered it in for me. Was $40 bucks.

Sorry mate, part number I imagine was on the packaging... which went in the bin some months back

Had a look on the unit, but its not much more than a machined block of alloy - no numbers. Shumies group buy looks good thou...
