Are you guys referring to axle tramp by any chance?
Where is the wheels spin (chirp) into gear and the front of the car bounces?

Paladin, do you find the car shudders a bit if you take off from 2nd gear with the exedy clutch?

I've found a way to overcome the clutch shudder when u cant engage into first but got to nearly start with second..the technique is to blip the engine and release the clutch gently, not slip it but release gently and the engine should be able to take the torque. Not sure if it works but thats how I always do it in my car and gf's car, and it works for me.

A bit of sidetrack, since you guys have manual, try to look for a secondhand Racelogic V-sam. Its great. Uses more 98 octane petrol in return for good gains in torque and power. I know some of the comments are that you can't feel that change after installation, but for mine, its very obvious (so maybe big increase :D ). Maybe also due to good combination with Blitz sus power air filter and TTR exhaust, as Racelogic in UK also distributes Bliltz products.

i have actually found the clutch, though much heavier in normal driving, if i get caught in 2nd at the lights etc it actually takes up very sharply, it is a sudden power surge but it dosnt shudder... and ontop of that much of the noises i would have if i was letting it rev to low (ie 30k in 3rd) are now gone,

all in all ive found it to be much harder not to do burn outs (see grant, cailies and boris's cars for tyre smoke smell, sorry guys!) but over all its actually a big improvment....

all i have to do now is suspension and maybe source a 6 sp gear box one day ;)
