They also have their entire price list up for all items. I never knew they did a CAI!

I am assuming that the non mivec cams from RPW would be of similar spec as the secondary lobes on a MIVEC cams.

So all the top end of MIVEC, but less low end.

$1655 is actually a good price for 4 new cams I think...

Sort of... they give the same sort of feel. I've got cams in my GR & they give a fairly solid sort of pull to 4.5k & then they light up. They've got a smidge more lift (lobe height) & a smidge more duration (lobe width) but the real gains come from the complex stuff - phase angles and phase co-ordination with the exhaust cams - which required the vernier belt gears. Done right & they give a real nice smooth curve on the dyno chart. But $1600 odd is good value for kw's once you've done the fundamentals: intake, exhaust & computer (if your goin' nuts with the cam profiles)
A science in itself cams...

So you got RPW cams do you?
How do you compete against MIVEC FTO's?

$1600 isn't bad...
But MIVEC cams so much more :(

How many kw atw do you make?

No my cams are a Ralliart grind - came from Hong Kong already in the car.
They are apparently ground in a similar way to the RPW ones.
With the standard ECU modifed to suit the cams, CAI, bored out throttle body, RPW extractors & 2 1/2 exhaust I was getting around the 105kw atw mark with about 205nm @ 4750 torque. Which was interesting because the stock GR makes its peak torque at 3800rpm. After sinking a further 3 grand in 8O a 32 bit Unichip, big port manifold, rising rate 1:1.7 FPR & modified fuel rails - initial roll ups on the dyno have seen 125+kw plus a whopping 240Nm...
She's still in the shop as they're having some issues with the timing. Not only that, all this extra power has given the front suspension & engine mounts a pounding - they're telling me when its ready to drive straight out of the shop & 2 streets down to the suspensions guys... a bit of a prick tease, but best be safe than sorry.

Never had a chance to take on a GPX but I reckon I might get out on top! :D

Not surprised the MIVEC ones are so pricey - you got twice as many lobes per stick. If they're billet steel then thats a sh_tload of machining work :(

See unfortunately your car being Non MIVEC doesn't really tell us much about how the MIVEC will respond :(
Did ralliart ever makes cams for the MIVEC models??

Ok, got hold of the guy who got my car. He said (and this only applies to Ralliart HK) they did come up with a few different grinds for both Mivec & non-mivec. They were only done on a few demo cars & a couple for those who had some serious coin to spend. It was too expensive to do, with not enough interest from buyers to pursue (story of every engineering marvel)
So short answer is no - there is no off the shelf Ralliart cam for a GPX from Ralliart HK - Sorry kids :(

I have a feeling my car also has the cams you are talking about, do you have a dyno ? so i could compare torque curves

Did he mention of what gains the MVIEC's had?
