Well, at your age, i would pretty much give up on comprehensive, because either it will be 1/3 of the value of your car, or most companies simply will not insure you, and your excess will be like 1.5k+ Give you an estimate, i pay 1300, and i'm almost 22
Your age expect to pay 4k +
A number of people who are your age, stick with 3rd party, no idea on prices as never had any quoted to me.

if you get a gr, youll find that soem insurers are MUCH cheaper then for the gpx (shannonsand young and cool mostly from memory) but when i got insurance when i was 20, it was about 2.5k with a 1.5k excess. mind you a year on and its only 1700
but ify ou really want a fto look into a gr (y ou can get them a fair bit cheaper too so less money to risk if you cant afford comp)

I assume that $900 not including mods right. I know they don't insure cars that are parked at multi-carports.Mboy wrote:hey guy

with a company call unique cars...not too bad so far.

Is insurance compulsory over there?
As a comparison with NZ, I pay $650 NZD for full insurance. But I am over 25 and have a no claims discount for life
Here insurance is not complusory, and I read in the paper the other day that an estimated 40% of drivers in NZ have no insurance at all
