yay, now the city can sleep tight without fear of me!

Post by Leigh »

Well last saturday, I finished up work at midnight, and went into Northbridge to meet up with some friends. While looking for parking, a taxi stopped in the middle of the street right in front of me, and put its hazard lights on. so I went around it , as I passed by I accelerated from 20 to 40 and moved back into the left lane, then clutch in and slowed down to stop at a stop sign further up.

now an unmarked police car was now behind me, I didnt notice, but nor would I have cared, since I wasnt doing anything wrong.

so after I looked both ways, I crossed the street just like normal, not fast or anything, just normally and even before I got across to the other side, I had the police siren me and pulled me over. At first I didnt even think it was for me!

Now I dont know, but I must of just got 2 dickhead cops in the one car, or they just had a bad night, but who knows.. they even might just hate shiny black import sport cars with personal plates.
So now they are rudely barking orders at me, open the door! turn off the car! put the keys on the ground! I was calm and quiet, doing everything they asked, yet they kept making a scene as if im a psycho crimanal or something.
I felt like adam sandler in that movie "anger management"
he asked if I had been drinking, I said no I just finished work. so he then goes and gets a breathalizer to test me... would you believe he actually looked dissapointed when it came up 0. 8O

now they said to me, you know you have lost your car until tuesday, I said what??, they said don't you know the hoon laws? I said yeah.. but what did I do?
they said I spun my wheels as I crossed the road, creating exessive noise. I guess the "WTF?" look on my face annoyed them more.
I said, I didn't spin my wheels, his reply was.. oh you probably couldnt hear it, since your car is so loud it would of been really loud in the cabin.
They said I passed them at incredible speeds, as they were on the side of the street.
they told me to get out, as they called a tow truck.

I said I said to them, I honestly didnt spin my wheels, and if I did, I certainly didnt mean to, as for the accelarating, I admit I did, but I only got to 40 before slowing down again and i dont think it was dangerous or excessive. he just said to me, would you drive like that on the driving test?

now their next few questions really pissed me off... firstly they asked how much my car was, and then how much my plates cost. saying 'ever thought of getting normal plates'? I told him the reason I got them is cos I happened to be in the licencing centre the day before they doubled in price to by them, so I got them then. THEN, and I don't know if they are racist or what, but they asked me, "were you born here?" I said um.. perth? they said no, australia. huh?? I told them I was, but why, and they said I seemed to have an accent that wasnt australian... HUH??? I asked them where from, they said.. oh east european. what??

anyway, they said I could take wreckless driving charge, 6 month license suspension or the excessive noise charge, which my car gets impounded for 3 days,.. well I get it back tomorrow.. dont know what ill have to pay in fines and towing and crap,,, or how many points I lost on this fine double demerit weekend.

as a side note, me and a friend talked to some other undercover cops at a petrol station tonight, about the car impound place.. they asked what did I get done for, I told them excessive noise for wheel spin, and they told me the other cops must of had a bad night, since that is a weak reason to take my car.... why couldnt these guys of pulled me over that night instead... sheesh.

Really makes me think I should start carrying a dictaphone in my car to record these sort of conversations.
You should have asked them which wheels spun or prompted them with a statement like "my back wheels didn't spin." They when they say they did, as most cops do cause they don't know it's a front wheel drive, you've got them.

That kind of sh*t really gets my goat. I'd take it to court now that you've had time to think about it. If they're gonna waste your time with that rubbish, why not waste the courts time proving there are some f_cken stupid cops around.

were they actual cops or what?

we had a scene here in vic where morons had got themselves uniforms and lights from some where and where pulling over hot cars (or obusing women drivers)and supposadly impounding them where a mate in a tow truck would come and take the cars.
i remember being in a friends done up VL and cops pulled us up asking if we had been stopped by an unmarked police car recently and to ask for there names and badges, and notify the police emmediatly. then they explained what was going on. this was a good 7-8 years back but still... these pigs where either complete f88ken dipshits or not cops at all.

treating you like a criminal was just total over kill. and the racial crap smells funny to me....

then again maybe cops are just over the top WA side

Next time note down their badge number & name, it’s your right, & then make a compliant to the police ombudsmen.

It might not get anywhere as usual, but you sure will make these two "serve & defect" citizen do sh*t loads of paper work & reports. And if everyone they pull over did the same thing, they'll be too busy doing reports then go on the street & causing "bad public relation"

sorry to hijack this thread but... i dont want to get a lashing for starting a new one...

I HAVE HAD sh*t WITH THE COPS AGAIN! BECAUSE IM A P PLATER ASIAN AND I HAVE A VEILSIDE KITTED FTO!

i was cruising along at about 60 and i saw a school zone sign and some cops! the so i slowed down to 40! but the cops says he got me a 58! and fined me for 15+ over! $208 and since its double demerits thats 6 points! that is my red Ps gone! but i told him i slowed down as soon as i saw the 40 sign but he insisted i was still going 58 when i passed the sign!? and with the new laws comming in... when i get my license back i will be limited to 1 passenger which totally sucks! the cop gave me sh*t aswell and wanted to defect my car and check the car and me, until his partner said something. i really hate cops on a power trip! and now i have to suffer because i was "speeding"

what can i do? what can we do about cops like this?

I don't think making this type of issue into a sticky is a good idea, as this is a public forum, & if one of "them" just happen to got on to this site, what do you think they will do next time when they see a FTO?? My bet is even harder time.

Hmmm isn't one of the member here is a newbie cop anyway? I forgot his username.
