hahaha forget the GTR, it will rip you in millions of pieces heheeh unless its like the last one i test drove (i can run faster then it).
Well 90% of ITR R will beat a FTO, cause 90% of the FTO are Tip, and all ITR R are manual. But by saying that its all depends on the driver

i went cruising with a couple of mates a few months ago, from memory, there was a dc2 type r, civic EG no VTEC YO!!!!!, three vtir dc2, and my tip fto... all the hondas were manual btw....
the type r killed me by heaps..
but with the dc2 vtir's, we were head to head most of the time, only at the end i slowly pulled away... heheheh...

integras...
i have raced a integra type r before....dc2
and i was keeping up with it, almost till the end of 3rd gear when it started to pull away...
while the vtirs, we were pretty much even, but 3rd gear, i pulled away....
same situation, but swap places.....
does damn 1.8L vtirs are pretty fast...do not estimate them, and for people claiming they beat a civic vtirs easy....do u guys have plenty of mods under the bonnets? or are we talking stock...
no use saying u beat a skyline, cause u have a TT galant engine in the bay...lol just highlighting a very important point here....done go judging your car to others if we are not keeping the variables the same..

I own a manual FTO GPX
Vtir's Civics and DC2 Teggy's - a manual FTO will own them easily
Type R DC2 Teggy's - they just get my FTO
Type R DC5 Teggy's - will do a fukin big sh*t on the FTO

I don't like signatures, you are always expected to say something funny or interesting. So I'm not doing one...:)

I too own a GPX Manual...
With mods (CAI, computer, full exhaust etc)
Raced the following:
Integra VtiR(no mods): beat by 3 cars lengths
DC2 Type R (pod filter and cat back): very even
DC5 Type R (same mods as i): beat me 1 car length
Prelude Vtir Gen5 (same mods a i): beat him 1/2 car length
Civic Vtir (pod and catback): beat him 1 car
obviously depends on the driver and conditions but the FTOs do quite well against vtecs.
