Guys and gals,
I think everyone is doing a great job with this group buy, but we need to get some things clear.
There are 2 people trying to organize shipping and also trying to contact the same supplier to obtain a new price taking into consideration the number of ppl wanting to buy the seat covers. I personally think that it would be best that one party contacts the supplier to reduce confusion and the chance of the supplier to be overbooked.
I think we're all very eager to obtain these covers ( i know i am) but all our efforts and the people contacting the phillipines would be best utilised if we can coordinate this with one point of contact.
Adriano, mxysxy and wild _flower, i personally thank you for all your efforts to bring this group buy to everyone that missed the first one.
:D

one issue will be that the supplier will be asking for a deposit, i think its 20%... i dont know whether they have an account you can transfer to, just ring them and ask....

the best way really is to have a contact in the phils to do all the negotiations, from putting in the order, paying deposit, checking the seats, and contact with the freight.... this people prefer making business with someone they can see, rather than just talk to on the phone....
they're not a big shop, although reputable....

been there, thats the best way to do it.. otherwise i know you'll run into some problems...

sunraider wrote:Ok so from what we've established so far, we are looking at the following stats:
5kg per set
Colours: Black; Purple; Blue; Light-blue; Brown; Dark Green; Cream; White; Red (fabric only)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't a few people have gray as well?

Adriano.. but it wont hurt for your contact to check out the goods etc and just ensure it gets to the freight agent properly if we can organise it cheaper from here right? In any case I think it will be cheaper to organise it from the phillipines..

Just to inform you all anyway, in case we run into probs with the phillipino freight agent, my friend got back to me with the following quote:

Air Freight via Phillipines Airlines
$3.55/kg USD Freight charge (roughly $736 AUS freight charge)
AUS$104 International terminal fee
AUS$104 Airline charges
AUS$60 Domestic T/fr fee
AUS$110 Custom clearance
AUS$65 Delivery Fee (optional as they are located in Mascot and we can pick up)

Total = $1114 if we pick up
I.E. AUS $34 each set (all inclusive) to get to sydney. Additional postage charges apply for those outside sydney

by the way, maybe we should start pm-ing all the members who have expressed interest and get them to send in their preferences and questions starting now so that we can smoothly order and organise everything timely?

I can volunteer to collate the data

Ok I've got an idea. Once all aspects of shipping have been sorted out how about as many as possible who are still interested jump on MSN at a designated date and time to place their orders, ie colour, extra material etc. All questions can be answered and a price confirmed then. For those who do not have access to MSN and/or a computer maybe they can pm Sunraider their requirements.

What do you think?

first off all a big pat on the back to all those busting their hump to get us the seats and at a good price, a hail out to you.

ok i think maybe we need someone who is in the know to post ALL the info people might need in one post. like:

-colours available
-is the set front and back seats or is a set just two front seats and back extra
-how much is it for extra material and how much material do you get
-recommendations, for instance, a certain colour gets dirty easy, or a certain colour shows creasing easily... blah blah what ever if its available.
- anything else you can think of

i know some of this has been posted but i think it needs to be put all in one so its not required to hunt through the page numbers and so on.

and again hail all for the brilliant effort, it shows the community we have that everyone is pulling in for one another... FEEL THE LOVE PEOPLE!

Good news guys, it looks like I can organise freight by Ship, only takes 2-3 weeks, which makes it cheaper then all the other deals.

Guys I need to finalise the numbers and orders pretty quickly to get my contact to deal with producer.

please pm me with your order details. Colour, stitching, material, etc...
Please inform me if you know about others as well.
I will keep posting the form ones I got some replies.
Also, will come up with the final number ones my contact talks with producer.

Hi Mxysxy,

Awesome work mate, we need more people like you. (and that goes for all of you helping to make this happen)

Could you please repost the colours and options for people. I know that many of us already know, but to avoid confusion, and to save you from posting addendums it would sure help.

For example in some earlier posts, maroon and royal blue was available, but was removed from your last post on colours. Simarly Light blue and cream have appeared.

Cheers mate.

Luca

Luca, how are you mate, I am mxysxy. :D :P

Guys, I am thinking that same colour format as the previous group buy should be applied to this one as well.

I will look at the previous posts and try to write it again.

Oops I'm really sorry mxysxy.

I saw your name and but typed what I saw on the quoted section ... sorry :) I have fixed that up

On page 9 of the first group buy I saw the following:

COLOURS

DARK GREY, LIGHT GREY, BLACK, LIGHT BEIGE, DARK BEIGE, WHITE, MAROON, DARK BROWN, NAVY BLUE, DARK GREEN, YELLOW, ROYAL BLUE

Can we assume this still stands?

This is probably too hard, but could you possibly post up pictures of the colours. doesn't have to be on seats or anything, just so we can see how dark/light they are.

Also with extra material, can we order a specific amount, like 2m x 1m.
I'm looking to get enough to do the dash, doors, center console and maybe something in the boot, so a fair bit. A price per square meter would be good.

Thanks

Sorry guys,

I reckon you are onto a b***dy good thing here and I can see some people have put some work in to make this happen.

But..........I am going to have to opt out.

My clutch started slipping a fair bit after a drive on one of the Targa stages at the weekend so I am focusing my finances into a replacement clutch, a new lsd and c's shifter.

I am still envious of Boris' interior......

Cheers

Chris
