also i will post specs and if u guys would b so kind as to tell me if u think its too pricey, and what i should pay...

94 5sp GPX mivec..

18inch sparco racing rims low pro tires,

TV/DVD set up with 2 kenwood amps and a SUB

94,000 kms (im realise this puts me in line for major service in a few thousand.

full service books, and a hell ugly aftermarket leather steering wheel...lol

The car sounds nice. Price is in the normal range, major service can't really by done by anyone, but that's ok we have a couple workshops that lot's of members here have used in VIC... be prepared cos it's around 1k for a proper major service.

Also, remember about insurance.. which can be a bitch...

FTO's are pretty reliable, but if it does break then it's the usual, starter motor, alternator, stepper motor etc...

Aslong as you don't crash or no one runs in the back of you, you shouldn't have problems.

I've had mine for almost a year now, and still like it

Since you from Porty as well, if you want, we might able to get together & check this car out for you. If i'm not wrong the car below is the one you talking about right? Located in Ormond, from the pics, it looks very well, but there are lot more things then meet the eye.

I would also suggest not limiting yourself just to FTO's in Melbourne.
Alrhough it can be hassle buying interstate, sometimes it can be worth the extra effort.

Afterall, you can have a car safely transported from say,oh i dunno,.....
ACT > Victoria for under $500 with TNT.

I would suggest checking out www.uniquecarsales.com.au and looking at the high quality FTOs for sale there...... especially in the ACT

I felt like i was hijacking this thread, so to put it back on course...

Paddymac - from an owners perspective, I have had my car for less than a year and I have yet to have any major dramas whatsoever. The only things i had to fix on my car were a cv boot and a light bulb. and since then, ive just been maintaining it normally. In fact, my parents have had more trouble with there Toyota Corolla !

Anyways, good luck shopping, there are a lot of FTOs out there at the moment, the key is finding the one most suited to you.
My pic was too big.

thanks everyone for gettin back too me on this.....

yeah thats the one..... looks pretty nice, and dont drive to bad either...

turns out i know the guy who's selling it,(works with my GF)..

he easily dropped price to 15.5 today, and can prolli get him to around 15

as for insurance i gotta wait till 2moz to find out exact details, but i got a mad deal cos Now im 20 and scored RATING 1!!!

FTO338 ide really apreciate meeting up and maybe checkin it out, with someone who knows FTO's more personnaly....

it has a mivec controller fitted, so im not sure if i should be concerned about what has been adjusted...??

body looks straight, few paint scratches etc, possibly had right quarter panel removed..... (paint marked on bolts) ....but looks like the rest is untouched....
