Appologies if I offended

Post by tarkus »

My sincere apologies to Toni and the other young lady who's FTO's I posted photos of. I spoke with them both at the time I took the photos and told them they would be posted.
Any comments were meant in a joking manner, and hopefully most people took them in the spirit that it was written.

I am p****d(upset) that the post was removed

i had a funny feeling that one of cars was Toni's :?

Whether it was a joke or not theres a lot of things that can be posted and taken the wrong way. Trust me, i have a whole folder of emails from the commitee on this!

i was more offended to see a Ferrari badge on the FTO then the post itself! ;)

don't worry about it Rob, so long as the owners you spoke to knew it was a cheap joke it's all good hehehe... :D you just gotta be aware that some ppl tend to take certain things a little too seriously around here.... :P

what i still don't understand is why was the post moved/deleted?? clearly it wasn't aimed at anyone specifically (there was no mention of names etc) nor do i find it abusive (well not to me anyway)... whoever deleted/moved the thread should at least explain why as well, don't you think?? ...or maybe nobody can take a joke around here anymore...

my 2c...

I'm not sure who removed it to the commitee room but in a way Im kind of glad it ended up there those comments are fine and everyone has an opininion but they dont need to be rude and krass and dig at someone for supporting a Sports Team and thats all we were doing supporting ... supporting FERRARI at the GRAND PRIX F1 as thats where the cars were for the weekend ........

Im guessing the reason that it was removed is the way the wording was around the pictures ... like I said everyone has there own opinions but you do need to have a little bit of tact and realise that yes maybe sometimes you can offend people and we want to try and make this a friendly environment for everyone to socialise not attack each other for what we do ???

I strongly believe that deleting posts or forums under any consequences is a very wrong idea.

just food for thought - I wouldn't want some punk sticking FTO badges on their Excel during an FTO track day... :P:lol:

as much as i love FTOs & Ferraris, i wouldn't stick the Prancing Horse badge onto my car because it'll just make me look like a fool in front of others (and prob an insult to 'real ferrari' owners). ...ever thought about that? ;)

Thanks for the support, I do sometimes DO, before I THINK. But what the heck life is for living. Have a laugh life is a lot easier then.

TEANIA: it was posted in the "gibberish" section, I thought vertually anything was OK in this section?

ahhhhhhhhhhhh relief situation sorted all is GOOD.
Oh and just to clarify one more smaller issue the badges on the car were done with a nail Air brush and she was just showing off her talent not trying to change the fact that her FTO was a ferrari she was as I said supporting the team she follows.

well at least we still have honest members here who admit to something and humbly apologised for it, even though it was all in the name of humor in the 1st place...

you're OK Rob! :D
