They are completely different so don't even go there.
The engine oil, you'll need to do a search as there are too many threads with this topic to even go any where near it.
now for my question.
Does any one get noises from their gear box for manual? Because mine is relatively loud as when I press the clutch it's so quite. So it's definately the gear box that's making the noise. I recently put a redline in mine as well but not sure which one. it was a yellow one as well.
I changed it in order to get rid of this noise but no luck.
Does any one else have this problem? If so have you fixed it?
Thank you,

They are definitely different - gearbox oil is much thicker. If you stick one type of oil in the other, bad things will happen
I use Redline MT 75-90 in my manual box, and shifts are definitely slicker...

Does it sounds like a very very light grinding, resonating noise, and is it more apparent around the 2000-3000 rpm mark??fto12345 wrote:Does any one get noises from their gear box for manual? It may be the infamous noisy, orginal factory/stock mitsubishi clutch plate springs vibrating... Its nothing to worry about almost all FTO's with original clutches do this...
