I wanted to get the FTO back out, it's been at the back of my work premises for around 7 years with a cover on it. I know, I know.
Anyway I decided to do some work on it and got it front and centre in the workshop and just went straight to the engine work, I've done the cambelt, waterrpump etc and the half moon seals, changed all the fluids etc in preperation.
I had some issues with the immobiliser/alarm, key fobs were dead. The unit installed was some 20 year old Gemel unit that isn't supported anymore so figured just remove it and replace it with something more up to date another time. This went well enough I think, electrics aren't my thing but it seemed pretty simple and I was happy with the wiring afterwards was soldered correctly, insulated and wrapped in the heatproof fabric tape (very nice stuff I might add, gives a factory finish).
So after getting the electrics back to Mitsubishi standard wiring (I assume) I still have no reading lights, electric mirrors seem dead, electric windows are dead, sill plate lights are dead, radio was dead but I've now removed it to access behind it. Climate control unit has power & a display but the blowers don't work.
I do have lights on the KMC dials although they appear to be registering wrong (RPM is bouncing, Speedo is settled on 20mph). Headlights, wipers, flashers all work. Lights on dash appear to work, I have the oil pressure on.
All this is on ignition stage 2 of the key, I can't actually go 3 yet with the engine work but these things should be working right? windows etc should work without a running engine?
I've checked all the fuses and everything appears good, I run a continuity test from the multimeter on them all just to be sure.
Pretty confused as it was stored all working correctly.
Electrical Issue maybe?

Re: Electrical Issue maybe?
Most of those non-functional things are on 2 circuits, no 9 & 13. Are the other items listed against them dead as well?

Re: Electrical Issue maybe?
I double checked all fuses and replaced some just for the fun of it in both the engine bay box and interior.
On 9 I have the wipers working, the rear wiper and washer my car doesn't have that as standard.
on 13 the LCD powers but the blower doesn't actually switch on, not sure how I'd test the defogger.
I'm pretty sure the radio would work if installed back in, It's showing 13v at the fuse in the engine bay and like 12.6v inside the car. The interior light etc is showing 0 at the fuse box in the engine bar and obviously 0 inside the car, I noticed today the horn also doesn't work but I didn't check the connections on that. It's a MOMO wheel so I'll pop the cap off and check it's connected.
Annoying, everytime I think I might have it turns out to be some bodge jobs or left behinds from previous owners. I've removed most of the trim and interior. Today I found a braided cable going into the door with a red and black wire stripped and just sat inside the door so I thought it was causing a short or something but it turned out to be dead and just hangs under the locking mechanism but is threaded through the door with the OEM wiring. I'll take it out fully tomorrow.
