vandalised FTO (keyed) :(
What can i say... theres just too many jealous m*tha F*ckers out there that dont have respect for other peoples cars.
Last nite me and a few friends went to a club at the Docklands and after a nite of enjoyment I return to my car to see it keyed from the front all the way to the back!!!! I was obviously pissed off but now im trying think of a few ways to get it repaired.
I know theres people that come to yr house and fix up scratches or dents. Does anyone know someone that can do a good job?

Please accept my condolences
It depends how deep the scratch is. If it's shallow, a good repairer will make it so the scratch is for all intents and purposes, invisible. If it's deep you'll probably still be able to see it if you get right up close to it.
If it's your baby, your pride and joy, the one to which you love the most
then you may not be happy with the result. However, it's generally a cheap (compared to a respray) excercise so very little lost and possibly everything gained.
Good luck with it.

hopefully it can be invisible without a respray. Im just baffled that being parked next to other nice and expensive cars, why anyone would wanna do that to a stock fto?!?
From what i gathered, some guy(s) who got rejected from the club decided to take their frustrations out on some random cars, so I would be very suprised if my car was the only one.

Hahahahah well that person wouldn't do much harm to my car since i'm going to respray it to a different colour anyway, so key all you want ehehehee
But yeah its sad to see people are like that.......

FTOluv,
I undestand very well, as I had the same thing happend to me in an extreme scale. They scratched the sh*t out of my car, and it is not easily fixable unless doing a complete respray, which I quotest $3500 the cheapest.
Here is photos of my car http://www.ftoaustralia.com/modules.php ... 8&start=40
Now, the good part is I can drive my car in the dirt roads no problem. I was out fishing yesterday, and it was real fun driving on the country roads not worrying about the mud. Also, as Kevin stated I dont worry about the people scratching my car anymore on the supermarket parking spaces.
Here is the bad part, my insurance company doesnt even wanna insure 3rd party, unless I fix up the damage. Also, I keep chasing every single white lancer out there to see if there is a big red mitsubishi badge on the bonnet. Who knows what happens if I found them.
Overall, find the happiness in this problem, and learn the lesson. At the end its just money. Lucky that your car still drives. What if they knife the tyres or smashed the windscreen or something?

I'd castrate them with their keys.Believe me if I ever caught anyone keying a car, id key their face.
Little scratches as someone walks by I can understand............but actually stopping to dig your keys into someone elses car is horrendous.
It's like smashing the front door/windows of someones house.

Mxysxy i definately feel yr pain with yr scratches and all. Bloody pricks!!!
But, i actually would of rather them slashed my tyre or smashed my windscreen then did what they did. Becuz not only being less costly but my car has never been in an accident and does not have one resprayed panel. It was imported by the owner that bought it for his wife in Japan (Australian couple). So u would imagine how horrfied i was when i saw it.
LESSON LEARNT: Never park anywhere for more than 2 hours at a time. Especially after 12am that time should go down to 1 hour.

Every time I come out of a supermarket I’m expecting my car to have key scratches all over it.
