So I've been undergoing a 6a13tt engine swap and I've run into a spot of bother with my gear linkages. So the new engine is in the car and after hooking up the linkages i ran into a problem.
So it seems 1st and 2nd gear are in the 3rd and 4th gear places and 3rd and 4th gear are in 5th and reverse positions. and of course 5th and reverse are unreachable as the shifter cant go any further.
This strikes me as odd as the gearbox would have to be in the exact position as before because of the mounts. anybody have any ideas?

Re: Manual Gearbox Linkages
I might be completely off the mark, but are the right cables on the right linkages?

Yeah, I never removed them from the bracket, I just unbolted the bracket when I removed the gearbox.
The cable at the bottom of the gear stick (um and down action) lines up perfectly, it almost seems like the side cable has stretched an extra inch, Ill get some photos up tonight or tomorrow
