Hello Team,
Most probably this have been asked before, but am not able to find it in the forum.
Am currently having an issue with OCV right bank (standing in front of the vehicle).
Basically it started with an engine stalling issue, then it escalated to a melted OCV wire. This in-turn burned the fuse.
Anyway, i unplugged the plug on the OCV and tried applying 12v as per other forums on the internet, and the solenoid kept clicking....
But after unplugging this "presumably" faulty OCV, my engine runs great now without any issues. But am not driving it at the moment, because am not sure on what effect it will have on my engine in the long run.
So going back on the main reason for this topic... How do you remove the OCV? Do i need to remove the engine cover?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Stevy

Re: Oil Control Valve Removal
Hello Guys,
A small update.
Managed to locate that damn thing. In case someone is looking for that solenoid, it is located on the right side under the rocker cover (find attached pic).
You just need to remove the inlet manifold (which was quite a pain in my case
) and remove the rocker cover.
PS: Please excuse my dirty engine bay. This is the first time i open that bloody thing.
