Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
wow, even I forgot about this thread.
Short answer is Not much,,
bought another set of rims, springs, vented carbon fiber bonnet, oem fog lights, and extra headlights and taillights for mods (so I can go back to stock if needed), installed a muffler so its gone quite.. most parts are sitting there in the garage though as I'm spending all my spare time on customizing the bike now. customize fuel tank, seat and entire rear end.
Will definitely get back to FTO and will update more photos etc. cheers for asking!
photo for visual reference.. bikes are all in pieces now..

Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
Haha I use camping chairs to sit and stare at my fto and bikes.. no kidding. No tent here lol
Believe it or not, Got 2x pair of brand new oem genuine foggies. One is for sale for ridiculous amout of money if anyone wants it.
Carbone fiber bonnet needs some restoration work but thought I'd pick it up anyway because I know they are rare as f**k.
I'm a simple man, I see stuff I like, I buy. Haha been searching the key word 'fto' on gumtree everyday for past 4 yeas haha still do it to this day. Lol

Ah, good to know, leant something today then.
Still pretty rare as far as I'm concerned. Haven't seen it around much. Just because its for its for sale somewhere it don't make it common IMHO.

Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
Because of very personal reason mate, someone in my life passed away about a month ago because I held on to my past (along with this car).. so I'm letting her go. This is where my chapter with FTO ends. thanks for all your advise, banter and friendship.
I re-created this photo i took around 20 years ago this afternoon.

then I went to my bed and did this.

haha B Y E B Y E.
If anyone is interested the car is on the Carsales.

Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
Thanks mezje,
I never cared about money to begin with. FTO holds far more sentimental value than any amount of money to me.
I've listed it yesterday, a young couple already had a look and another person coming to my work to see it at my lunch time today. He's had 1999 GPvR for 15 years and looking into a second FTO for his son. It sounds like my FTO will find a good home with this gentleman.

That definitely sounds like a good option, I'm sure his son will appreciate it.
Out of curiosity, why not just hold on to it? Cutting off ties to memories through a car always ends in regret.
My Dad sold his last charger because of the times in his life he associated with it, regret it ever since and got another.

Been stretching it & holding on to it for too long mate
To me, the regret of selling the car would far out weigh the regret of loosing my family.. so yeah.. Close one door and open another yes?
