Driver door doesn't lock in place
Heya lads,
So my driver side door doesn't lock in place these days....if I close the door, it kinda like bounces back instead of the locking mechanism to go in and lock itself with the catcher.
Am gonna try aligning the catcher around (but it used to close fine before...) Any other ideas? The locking mechanism maybe?

That's the one. You'll need a big f**k-off phillips head to nip up. Try & move it around to the mark it would've left from it's original position.shadowarrior wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 10:37 pmThat's the U shaped metal on the body of the car yeah?

You actually need a big f**k off JIS screwdriver. The Japanese Phillips. c**nts had to use their own version for that too. It's why you can never get a Phillips head to perfectly fit any of the screws/bolts.

Mucked around the other day, the doors simply bounce back. The car had been sitting outside for a year though...I will spend some more time with the lock bar... wish I could see another FTO door to check how the locking mechanism (door side) stays and compare with mine.
Gotta wait till the car gets the darn clutch changed now...
