Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
Yeah they're the same, just extra reinforcement. Cant remember if it's a facelift difference or GPvR difference though.

Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
Alright so these are the parts being swapped around.
-the reconditioned engine + gearbox + lsd
-sub frame
-strut braces
-suspension & setup
-rear lower control arms
-swaybar & drop links
-wheels
-headlights
-rear seats
- rear spolier
-a/c stays.. I really like that manual controls
Other than the vR badge, am I missing anything else?
Can't wait to get this done then the bodywork begins. aiming to turn it into one of the cleanest FTOs out there.

Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
Yup I did. Unless previous owner made the switch.
Rest of the parts are as per what's known to vR!

Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
I've seen a photo of them before side by side and they were different, was years ago though.
And just did a check in ASA. Part numbers are different for facelift and pre-facelift.
It isn't a Version R difference but a facelift difference.
Pre-facelift GPX: MR197605, MR197606
Facelift GPX.GPvR: MR197609, MR197610
GR ones have different part numbers again, but that would be for the different sway bar mounting.

Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
Ahhh, that would do it. I think that bit under the arm then would probably be the extra plate, I'll have a look next time I'm under my car.Vectose wrote:I've seen a photo of them before side by side and they were different, was years ago though.

Yeah plate change happened with Facelift. I just welded plates on. Then replaced them with the alloy arms

Re: Jess' FTO build / questions thread
So I saw something.. this is an image of Mitsubishi Mirage.
This looks awfully like FTO's manual AC just different cover plate.
Does anyone know which car this ac was originally designed first?
I really really want the manual control.

I do not understand your obsession with manual climate control.
