Dual exhaust
is there a standard to this procedure?
or is it all custom welded "on the fly" to what you want?
is cutting the exhaust hole on the left of the bumper harder than a jig saw effort?
how many people have twin (quad!?) exhaust?
how does it change the sound of the car?
i really don't like sewer pipe sized exhausts... so would go with something only slightly bigger than stock... twin exit... both sides... (ooh side pipes - would love side exit!)

Re: Dual exhaust
No standard, lots of people have done it already in various formats. Can either have one muffler box at the back and the two pipes coming off it, or smaller twin mufflers, or whatever you want to use really.
Some inspiration for you.

Re: Dual exhaust
Here's how we did ours underneath, and how we did the cutout:

It's not the tidiest cutout but did the job.
This is how it was done before adding the new quad tips.

Re: Dual exhaust
Neither of us have ever actually put the quads on yet, but both of us have been meaning to.
We both have the same rear section too.

Re: Dual exhaust
that red one is obviously the look i am going for... ... i do like the sportivo bumper... but just another cost right now
so it is hack a hole with a jigsaw?
how much am i looking at for the twin set up?
does anyone know the sound difference between one large muffler split and 2 smaller ones?
any advice appreciated...

Re: Dual exhaust
My dual setup is pretty much an aftermarket MR2 (SW20) muffler.
Worked well for me with a VS rear bar.

Re: Dual exhaust
I created my cut-out by making a template of the curve and mirrored it.
Cut out within the line the section, then used a heat gun and two small wooden blocks (covered in leather) to mould the curve to what I wanted - ie, the opposite of the other side.
