Hey guys,
I am in the midst of getting my car running after it has been sitting for a long time.
The car has the following mods, and I am wondering whether it is fine to run with the stock ECU or whether it needs to be tuned:
65mm TB
Extractors
2.5" exhaust
Ported and polished heads, slightly skimmed
Intake manifold match ported
FPR
At this stage all I am concerned about is whether the stock tune will be safe rather than getting the most out of the mods.
Additionally, with the above mods, would adjustable cam gears gears be beneficial?
I need to do a cam belt service and wondering if it is a good time to add cam gears.
By this stage I understand I should have an ECU to tune it all though.
Does my car need to be tuned?

IIRC, the larger TB can have adverse effects on fuel ratios, but I don't remember exactly what those were. I think HeRo was using a larger one without a tune though.

Re: Does my car need to be tuned?
Yeah I heard there is some leaning out, but with the adjustable FPR I might be able to avoid this?
My car has an e-manage blue wired in, except the e-manage itself is missing. I'm not sure whether try and remove the wiring all together, or buy an e-manage.
The problem is the engine has not been started since 2009, and currently I just want to test if it runs

Cam gears are not beneficial on stock camshafts - just mess things up.
Spend your money on the tuning instead.

Thanks Dave, normally I would not consider cam gears but having to do the cambelt would mean that installing these is a zero labour cost option.
But if they do nothing with OEM camshafts then there is no point at all
