2 years too late on that joke.Supplanter wrote:Are you hoping the supercharger whine will hide the other noise?Astron_Boy wrote:As said last year Rob.
Let me know when it's all said and done so I can get a copy.

Re: EOI - Supercharger installation kits
Update time
Supercharger inlet is looking good and i'm happy with the design, will be putting an order in for this to be made soon.
Pulley bracket redesign is underway, just doing a few tweaks and test fits at the moment but I've sourced someone to laser cut these out of Aluminium.
Charge cooler - been to see a local fabricator and had initial discussions about taking the job on, will be taking the liquid/air core to him hopefully next week for him to get started (the other guy that was going to do these has had to back out). The design is good though I think.
Supercharger outlet to the charge cooler - I will be working on the design of this soon (probably start tonight)

Re: EOI - Supercharger installation kits
Did a bit of design over the weekend.
Got the pulley bracket design done and lined up a company in Perth to laser cut it for me.
Also done a sort of joiner part that's used as an extra support between the supercharger, pulley bracket and rocker cover mainly to hold the top of the pulley bracket tight against the rocker cover and stop any lateral movement, this will be made out of nylon (SLS).

I 3D printed a few iterations of these and test fitted on the car to get the positioning right, hopefully when I get them made out of real end use materials they will be ok.
Flange designs for my charge cooler are done and again will be laser cut in perth to save my fabricator time (and me money), he will just need to weld it together and make water end tanks left and right.
Just waiting for my cooler core to arrive.

My CAD skills have improved of late (from nill) plus my Son taking his car to the shop for Turbo fitting has spurred me on. I'm very close now to putting orders in to get the first ones made, honestly.
But as usual watch this space.

Re: EOI - Supercharger installation kits
Cheers.
Robert (Tarkus) has done the supercharger intake design for me, that was a tricky one and took many iterations to get that right as i'm not the best at explaining what I want, and I change my mind often. But it looks great!

Re: EOI - Supercharger installation kits
Almost done with the charge cooler, just got to get the inlet to the charge cooler done now.
But first I've got to fit it to the car to work out the position and angle of the pipe that will join the supercharger outlet to the cc inlet.
I'm trying to get some Delrin (or maybe other alternative) gaskets made up to go between the flanges to seal it and also help prevent heat soak.

Flange to intake runners is welded on the inside too, that's where the main seal is. Going to roughly port it a bit before I put it together.
