That would be best, yes. But the FTO ones fit fine.

Just look up the part number for the EVO 5 ones on the superpro site

Yeah, retraced to Ben's big brake thread. Seems the bushes are actually the same also between the Evo 3 arm which he used and what's listed for the 4/5/6.

Where's the best place to grab ball joint fittings? When I had a look at these they have this rubber boot like a CV it seems and some grease was visible coming out of one which I assume means it's stuffed.

#notinteresting. Sold the Advans with the dead tyres, grabbed some Evo 7 Enkeis with 1000km old Nitto Invos. 235/45 front and 245/40 rear (also softer compound apparently). Heaps of tread left and only spent a bit more than I sold the Advans for. A win in my books! Mocked them up on silver car for sh*ts'n'giggles, but will go on white car once it's had the Evo brakes done later. Probably get the RPF1s refurbed a bit and sell those eventually.

Bought a front caliper seal kit for the Brembos off Meek, and some black stickers from him too. Been getting quotes for having them powder coated, not sure if I want to do all 4 to begin with, but wouldn't really want the colour to be different if I did the rears later.

Yes, spray the whole car in fiddly bits.

But in all seriousness, FTOwnage and I painted ours with caliper paint. I used VHT from Autobarn, FTOwnage used Dupli-color from SCA.

Hmm. How did you strip/clean the caliper though?

Mine weren't painted, so just gave them a good clean with brake cleaner.

If they're powder coated, you should just be able to give a light rub back and paint over. If paint, Mike just used brake fluid to strip the paint (took a while) and a wire brush I believe.

These aren't powder coated, they just have the factory coat on them. The clear is cracking all over and the paint is obviously faded. When using the brake fluid to strip the paint, are the calipers fully submerged? Just have to remove the old seals etc? Does anything need to be blocked off?

Mike's paint was just a dodgy rattle can job. So came off pretty easily.

If it's a decent paint on them. might not be so easy, he just brushed some fluid onto the caliper and waited a while then scrubbed off.

Yeah, I suspect these will need a bit more than just a bit of a scrub. TBH I'll probably just get them powder coated anyway, it's not that expensive and it'll be a professional job.

Sad times, Samco UK warehouse hiked the price like $30 for 2016. They're still honouring an FTO Club discount of 10% though, so the total shipped, including the clip kit, was about $302. Just grabbing a black set, at least it'll be a few pay days between paying the first half as a deposit.

Yeah, but good hoses. Cooling is something I'd rather not skimp on lol. Would have been nice to get it for about the $260 or so that Shaheel did, but it isn't really that much more.

To put it into perspective, someone in the UK just won an eBay bid on those metal door handles...

... For 122 pounds.

TBH I'll rather have the hoses which actually do something haha
