i have a 1994 Gr and was wondering how i would go about removing/tricking the secondary o2 sensor on my cat so i can straight pipe the f**k out of it
any help would be appriciated
just unbolt your cat, cut the wiring, punch all the sh*t out of the cat, and wire the sensor back up.
i did it with myn and never had a issue.
if you really wanted you could just leave the wiring cut, it doesn't do anything, it just throws a signal and a light on the dash comes on.
I would recommend just punching out the stock to cat, so if a cop looks under the car the housing is there.
as bjk mentioned its f**king loud, and annoying at times. if its a daily i wouldn't do it, speaking from experience.
but if its a weekender as my is, its fun when you drive it.
I went to aftermarket headers, then 2.5" straight through to two bullet mufflers, that was ridiculously loud, I've since put a 3rd bullet in it, and it's still ridiculously loud..

Yeah straight pipe/no exhaust isn't that loud in comparison to other sh*t.
I had a straight pipe from turbo back, no cat with just a muffler on the end of my RX7 and that idled just as loud as my FTO did on its first startup (had no exhaust hooked up at that stage)
But wouldn't go straight pipe.. f**k that. Unless it's a track car, then go nuts.
Also, f**k the environment.
I fix cars.
