hey guys
So I've blown the head gasket and I've been quoted $2500 as pretty much a minimum to get it repaired and up and running again. I want to know if its worth getting repaired or perhaps an engine replacement or should i call it quits?
Also the car needs bearings done, suspension done (i think), there is a dodgy rim and Im a student on a limited budget. Its a mint car I love it but I love not being broke too so any advice would be appreciated!

Depends of your own decision mate and how much you want to spend
There are a few spare motors floating around I think. Probably not worth fixing the existing motor if it has high kms on it.

There are two types of people on forums; those that give helpful advice, and the others

Dont bother fixing the motor as a 2nd hand one will be cheaper. Should be less than what youve been quoted. If you get lucky should be around than $1500 to sort. Where are you located?.Try calling a few people on Gumtree that are wrecking and see how you go. I have an engine id let go for a couple of hundred, but while it hasnt got a blown head gasket, im not convinced it has been well looked after so couldnt guarantee durability.

I'd say it depends on how much money you've already put into the thing. If you haven't done any mods that cost $1k+...then just sell and buy a new FTO or a different car. If you have done some pretty big mods to it, then just get a new engine.
