"Rx" , as some of you receiving spam email from online drugs stores may know, is an old latin abbreviation used on Dr's prescriptions. I'm no doctor, but I am a pharmacist.

"boy" just sounded right since "RxMan" sounds worse  . Go figure.

Made it up in a hurry when imagination was overshadowed by impatience 8O

meaning of nickname

Post by tarkus »

Hya All
TARKUS here. I picked the name a long long time ago, when I lived in the UK. I used it on the old CB radio (it was illegal then) and the name has been used by me for all sorts of log-ins etc. It is actually the title of an LP (those were the days) by "Emerson, Lake & Palmer".
When I 1st used the name (on CB) one of the lads at work asked me what my "handle" was (CB name)? I said to him "it is the title of an LP" the young lad in his inspirational wisdom replied "Elton John's Greatest Hits". as you can imagine I was called this for a few weeks after. I thought is was funny at the time, it probably sounds total crap now!.

Preacher fan.

Okay, Comic God, how about this obscure reference?...

"Mr Fronts" ("You should see the commotion going on in my PANTS!")

You don't need to get it *exactly* right... Title, author and storyline will do. ;)

Mr X was something that came from school actually. It was not to do with me, but one of our friends at the time did "something" that I can't really go into here, and in order for everyone to talk about it we needed an alias to call him.

Mr X is the unknown, he who is unnamed. Which I kind of how it is on most forums. Nameless, faceless individuals, so I thought it appropriate.

Gee, sounds more in depth than I thought 8O

Real Name: Karen
Came from Ireland at 15 and finished school here. I was given the nickname Kazbar in school (god only knows what for) Anyhoo Aussies dont pronounce "r" they say it as "a" so when I was picking a nick for the internet I used the phonic spelling of my old school nickname - didnt want to waste a good "r" now did I. But you think I would have learned a lesson from all of this and not called my son Cono"r" he gets called Con"a"!!!! Oh well at least I call him the right name!

That does ring a few bells but I'm brain dead atm so I'll pass. And I'm not a comic God, I've only got knowledge of what I've read. The rest would be assumptions and those are dangerous.

DZYRME is my number plate which means "Desire Me" I dont know what made me get those plates, but one day I was sitting in Vic Roads to renew my registration, While I was waiting in line, I was looking at the wall with examples of number plates. My brain started ticking, so I enquired if DZYRME was taken. The woman said no, and just like that, I got the name that has stuck with me for ever. :?
