Re: Michelle's 1998 FTO GPX
So I just pulled over last night by some cops.
The reason I got pulled over was because there was reported people doing burn outs in the area and they happen to see my car...
Then the police officer proceeded to tell me how clean my FTO is, and how much he wanted one when he was 19, but they were like $30k when he wanted one. Talked about it for ages haha. It's nice to see police officers that appreciate cars.

This is how I imagine the conversation went down.
Police Officer: "There has been reports of burn outs in the area, so naturally I assumed you in the FTO is to bla- ..."
*Police Officer peers into Michelle's FTO*
Police Officer: "Is that an Auto Gearbox?"
Michelle: "Yep."
Police Officer: "Oh. My bad."
*Police Officer proceeds to rave about how cool FTOs are*

Nah it was more
Officer follows me up for like 5 minutes, me trying to drive good behaviour then pulls me over.
Officer: Do you have your license on you today?
Me: Yeah. /hands over.
Officer: Is this your car?
Me: No it's my mums. (Registered in her name for insurance)
Officer goes to check my license.
Me: I'm actually on my way to pick up a car that's at a trainstation, my mum left it there.
Officer: what car is it?
Me: A white Mitsubishi Lancer, with a huge sticker on the back.
Other officer: Does it read "Suicide Silence"?
Me: Yeah! It does.
Officer: Yeah we took your mum to the hospital, locked the car up, we can take you there.
Me: That would be awesome.
The night I get pulled over in my FTO I get a escort. :3
Then after that he started to talk about how nice my FTO was, explained literally everything to him. Haha.

That's nice. All the cops here just RBT me, or try to ping me for speeding when I'm doing the speed limit and they actually break it to catch up with me.

Haha, mine's auto too. I was just stating that burn outs and autos don't really go hand in hand ... Once you do your manual conversion, then you'll be in trouble hahaMissFTO wrote:Leave my auto alone ;PStrkszone wrote:This is how I imagine the conversation went down.

It's so strange that the other officer pretty much picked out the exact car you were talking about. Is there something in your family that is sticker crazy or something...? xD

Re: Michelle's 1998 FTO GPX
Oh my word, the amount of times I've had a cop decide that he wants to try to ping me for speeding, they overtake then undertake and swerve in and out of traffic causing lots of distress to other drivers only to sit on me and wait for me to speed is mental... Then again I've passed by cops going the opposite direction doing 80 in a 50 and they wouldn't bat an eye... so it's just hit and miss really.bjk wrote:That's nice. Oh they breathe tested me haha, being a P plater it's the first thing they would do.bjk wrote:That's nice. All the cops here just RBT me, or try to ping me for speeding when I'm doing the speed limit and they actually break it to catch up with me.
But they have done that to me for over taking them. Also one time I was flying down this road with little islands near my house in my old car. They pulled me over and I acted as if I didn't know the area.
Officer: do you know why we pulled you over tonight?
Me: no...
Officer: Speeding, you were flying down eight rd.
Me: which road is that?
Officer: the one with the islands.
Me: oh, I don't know this area, -points to gps-
They then let me go. Cops are odd.

That car was my car, and the sticker was my favourite band. My mum is just rolling around in a little sh*tty lancer with a big muffler, big ass rims and a big death metal sticker. But I'm pretty sure she had a big freaking "Holden" sticker on her windscreen. So maybe I can't say anything.Strkszone wrote:Haha, mine's auto too. A little while a go, I was cruising home with my friend behind me in his ute, the uncover cop car speeds up and cuts in front of him and proceeded to tail gate me.Strkszone wrote:Oh my word, the amount of times I've had a cop decide that he wants to try to ping me for speeding, they overtake then undertake and swerve in and out of traffic causing lots of distress to other drivers only to sit on me and wait for me to speed is mental... I got really annoyed and started to go slower. The closer they got the closer I went. Also this was the road with the islands so I just played it off like I was slowing down for them like normal people do..
They do some dangerous sh*t just to pull up Japanese imports.

Must run in the family then ahaha ;D. I'm confused though, does your mum not realize that she's in a Mitsubishi...? I think you may need to let her know just in case she actually thought she bought a Holden. xD..I've only gotten pulled over the one time...was doing 20 over on the freeway on the way home from work after 8pm and the coppers let me off with a warning. Re: Michelle's 1998 FTO GPX
This was for her Holden commodore. I hated to be seen in the thing. But I think she knows she's in a Mitsubishi, I sure hope she knows. I bought the thing and she then bought it from me when I got my FTO. #dontmissdrivingthatthing.
Now my best friend is buying the lancer and learning in it. I really don't want her driving like at all.
