Re: BJK's '95 FTO GPX #2!
Revisited one of my old haunts for some fresh jaunts.

Journey also featured some old f*cker in a Subaru wagon who gave me the finger when he cut me off, pulling onto the road via the other side.
And I kept up with a motorcycle!
A learner motorcycle.
Who went frustratingly slow around corners and sped up on the straights.
Also got a rather pronounced creaking/squealing when turning/braking at the same time. Front droplinks I think are shot, and have some more coming.

Yeah, far as I could tell. Resembled more of a dirt bike, but not entirely.

Sent another enquiry to Amayamamama for the cable bracket. Hoping they actually stock more of it and it isn't forever discontinued.

Bought the bracket now in stock from Amayamamamamamamamamamamamamamamamamamamaaa
Also received the front droplinks I ordered off good ol' ebay cause the ones in the white GPX are rooted (wondering if it's partly the cause of the squealing when moderately hard braking sometimes). Also have the ABS model brake booster/master cyl' from Super-Sahin-Shady-Shane-o, which should hopefully help with the 4 pots on the front.

Re: BJK's '95 FTO GPX #2!
Attempted to get through the interstate transfer inspection with everything still on the car.
Obviously failed, hah. HIDs are a no. Coilovers are a no. And the little brake light in the rear view doesn't work. Could have been worse I suppose, didn't say anything about the diff (my guess is he just thinks I'm bad at driving a manual lol), or brakes or seats or the wheels (phew).
Still fuckin' annoying, gotta chase down some stock suspension now and try again.

Yeah, all things considered. At least I can still drive it. I'm not actually sure if I can before it's rego'd in SA. But even then I'm not too keen on paying $500+ dollars for the certificate. And I think they still have to be locked height which is stupid. Grabbing some stock gear on Friday though, so hopefully not too long now.ZFL45H1 wrote:Thats not too bad. Re: BJK's '95 FTO GPX #2!
Got it back from #TimKnottMotorsport today, high as a kite again.
picked up some stock suspension from a newish member (not sure what their tag is in here!) had that put in, and the HIDs out. All brake lights working. Next week, barring major catastrophes, should see it legitimately registered in SA, however many months late, but better than never!
Then to try and sell the silver one, or hold onto it while I (Tim) does the diff...

Re: BJK's '95 FTO GPX #2!
If only the car was as white as the number plate! Almost looks 'shopped.
198 days after first picking it up in NSW, it's finally registered in SA. I have christened the plates D(aily)D(rive) 6(A)12 G(PX). For the life of my weak hands couldn't get the screws out of the front licence plate holder (they look rusted as the underside of an American pickup truck), but will deal with that when the coilovers go back in @ #TimKnottMotorsport. Also have a square plate on order for the rear.

Got it in one, hahaha. Couldn't be bothered taking a snap with the camera and fiddling around with the SD card. Didn't need to be a fancy picture so webcam it was.Bennoz wrote:Did you take that pic with your laptop webcam? Lol.

Well I'll be sure to grab an avant garde image of my next exciting purchase with my brother's DSLR. Maybe it'll be an oil filter, or the receipt from a tank of gas!Bennoz wrote:I've got a phone from before you were all born that would take a better picture than that
