Hey guys, im sure you've all seen what happened to my baby on the FB page. I was thinking of replacing all the pannels that were damaged but aperantly it's a lot harder then just bolting them on... and there's so much to do that I don't know where to start
Does anybody know if pannel shops would fit the parts if I supplied them?
Cheers guys
If they're are replaceable panels, then yes a panel shop will do it properly.
If there's damage to panels that are part of the car & not able to remove like the bumper bars, doors, fenders & skirts. Then it's a whole different story, can sometimes be fixed but pretty costly and never the same again.

Insurance would write that off because the reo is bent. But you could buy the parts and get a panel place to fit them & align everything the best they can. (It's what I'd do if it wasn't insured)

The hardest part is the mounting brackets for the panels will be bent. Getting them back to the proper position is difficult

Yeah it was suggested as a write off because it would cost too much to repair it (keep in mind they're quoting brand new parts) How do you know the reo is bent?
Also, I had third party property fire and theift and the fucktard who hit me didn't have any insurance so im going to get him to pay for the 2nd hand parts and get a shop to fit them (hopefully) if not though im going to have to take this asswipe to court but im not sure if it's really worth it sadly.

Because i know nothing about body work and panel beating
So you just need a light,bonnet & bumper ?
Basically just remove and replace with the new part. Start with the bonnet & make sure it closes properly.
Then put the bumper on, if there's a gap than you take it back off and bend the mounting brackets up abit to help it align properly. ( you'll probably have to do this a few times to get it decent) & depending on how bad they are you could then just take it to a panel place to get them to try and perfect it by making extra brackets etc
