No way! Would much rather have more money to spend on a car. More money always = potential for more fast.Technikhaus wrote:It'll be more satisfying doing it on a budget anyway

True. But I'm not interested in fast with this thing it's all gonna be show. One day when one of my bogan mates write off one of their SS's I'll drop a ls2 in her. She's already got extractors, zorst & a lsd, she goes alright.
What you guys reckon about two tone, red from the trim up with maybe a black stripe, and black from the trim down? I Can picture it...

Always had a soft spot for the old beemers. You're definitely getting through the rebuild pretty quickly, solid effort haha.
The two tone look does go well on these, and red/black should look good if its proportioned right.
Those motors absolutely haul ass as well haha, especially in the 3's. Dads got a 735iL and its no slouch for an old girl. Have just spent about 6 months on dads fixing up things from intake manifold gaskets to complete cooling system overhaul. rockauto.com is your friend for parts, trust me haha

Re: Project Beema
I thought mine had an exhaust system but apparently it's all standard, beside the extractors. It's sounds tough.. Don't think mines a 3.5 though :/ they're all so confusing lol I know it's the m20b23, do you know if that's the carby model? I haven't even checked . But yeah, she screams!fraz91 wrote:Always wondered what they sounded like with extractors, the 3.5 screams once last 4krpm hahadestinationtoby wrote:Haha cheers

Don't BM's use the logic of:
3 Sires, 2.3l ... Hence 323i
3 Sires, 2.3l ... Hence 323i
I just had to add it ......

Re: Project Beema
Well, the "Old School" Logic that they applied... Hehehe... Which makes a lot of sense.. Don't know why they would change it...ZFL45H1 wrote:Not with mine they dont. 135i you would say oh its a 3.5L nope 3L tt lol

Re: Project Beema
Pretty sure the old 3.5 is an M30b35. Beautifully built motors, but pricks to work on haha. Those extractors would have cost a mint to get fitted haha
