Help me identify this substance
Just noticed this on the roof of my Challenger. Can anyone identify wtf is it? It's stuck hard, not coming off with soap and water or wd40. Running finger over it, it feels coarse, like sand paper, blue-ish in colour Trying to get it off...

I used Gumption (a cleaning paste) on some orange spots on my girlfriend's car. Might be worth a shot. Wouldn't keep it on the paint considering how well it took the stain off though.

Yeah, not sure on that one mate.. I know prepsol is great at getting sticky residue and stuff off cars... Like pin stripes, and badges and all that.. But never tried it for something as dense looking as that ...shadowarrior wrote:Any easy way to confirm/remove it? :\rock_it wrote:shadowarrior wrote:Just noticed this on the roof of my Challenger. Maybe go see a detailer, and ask what they think it is... Kinda need to see it in person to see how bad it is... Or what it actually is. ...
I just had to add it ......

Looks like brake fluid to me....
Is it eating into the paint?
Did you park under something or under someones balcony or is it just someones c*nt act?

Was the vehicle kept overnight at a workshop and parked under something that was leaking?
Hate to agree with phil, but it looks like brake fluid or battery acid has been spilt on the roof.

Re: Help me identify this substance
Yeah insurance guys or the repairer couldn't identify it, said could be brake fluid (repairer guy's opinion) or pvc glue (insurer's opinion). There's no splatter, so looks like it was poured. Insurance guy thinks it was an accident for parking in supermarket parking bays under a pipe which has had work done. Anyways, getting it fixed through insurance, hope they fix it properly and not cut corners.
