IFS issue
Ladies and gentlemen.
I hereby am so confused by a problem with my car, i'm actually posting in the help section.
As many of you know, i had my FTO built and the top end rebuilt/serviced, as well as manually converted. The cars rev counter wasn't working, so a new IFS it was.
Shane-O sent me a new IFS (Cheers mate) and i took a trip to dwaynes to drop off some bits and ended up fitting it while i was there.
this video is what happens when the IFS is plugged in
(insert video here, having internet problems at the moment)
when the IFS is plugged in, when the key is out, you get the oil and battery warning lights, all other accessories are off, turn the car on, it starts fine, still no rev counter but runs as normal. everything else is on, radio, climate control, windows etc.
switch the key to accessory, and the engine keeps running. lose windows and climate as normal.
turn the car off and remove the key and the engine still runs
all Dwayne and I could do was laugh.
Help?

Re: IFS issue
Is it possable that you have plugged the TPS and IFS harnesses the wrong way around?
Probably not or your engine may not run, but worth a look.

Re: IFS issue
Actually may be onto something there!
I remember reading when doing my swap that there was 2 plugs on the loom that can be easily mixed and cause problems.. +1 cookie to my bestie.
