Blue FTO GPvR $7k ono
[PICTURES UPDATED]
[Tyres...Updated?]
Yo. Up for sale is my Icelle blue FTO.
Fun and good looking car - MIVEC also sounds awesome.
Nothing ridiculously over the top done to it but has some tasteful mods and could be a fun N.A "track ready" car.
Car was tip but converted to 5 speed manual. Runs smoother than before and definitely faster with manual. Regular oil changes, throttle body cleaning, servicing etc. Admittedly it has been in an accident before during my time. Some mofo rear ended me too busy looking at another accident, however all is fixed now.

What? A blue GPvR?
That's a 96 my friend, which makes it a GP. Version R was only black, white or red.
First GP that I know of if it's legit.. nice.
Looks like it's had a facelift conversion.

Yeah I know it's weird. We did this last time. The VIN says it's a Nakaya GPX? or something, and everyone was taken aback and i'm still sitting here thinking what the hell is a Nakaya GPX. Some others say it's a GP and not GPvR whatever that means. All I know is Icelle Blue is the original colour, it has blue seats and it was sold to me as a GPvR. Previous owner bought from Japan. :S

Wow didn't realise it was a Nakaya Tune, only 122 of those made.

Oh yeah I remember this. Has been facelift converted so the original nakaya lip would be long gone.
Is a nakaya tune. Rare as hens teeth.

Couldn't the VIN cross reference be wrong? Seems like a lot has been done to cover that up but you'd think that that fact would not want to be hidden (ha)

Did it have climate control or manual air con? Or folding mirrors?

Nah its all manual climate control. No sound deadening etc. All the signs of a GPvR ?

I am betting more on the decoder being wrong... That is some major changes to do to a car, to make it look and feel like a GPvR... Unless Nakaya didn't have climate and all the goodies...
But very confusing, so like the Peugeot methodology ...
I just had to add it ......

Re: Blue FTO GPvR $7k ono
The VIN is for a Nakaya Tune FTO. I'd put my money on the chassis being a Nakaya but the rest has come off a Version R and resprayed.

Would the Nakaya ECU still be there then? Any way to tell?

Rip it out and see I suppose...
Check here - http://www.completefto.com.au/CompleteFTO.asp?aid=454
Leave only the Nakaya Tune and GP boxes ticked.
Nakaya tune had automatic climate control, but you have manual.. so it has to be a GP right?
No.. GP didn't come out in Icecelle blue, it only came out in Midnight blue.
So it has a GP climate control setup, but it's a factory Nakaya tune color.
What the f**k
I think the fact that it is a '96 confirms that it's a GP, the Nakaya tune was only made in Feb '97. But what's with the color? Paint code on your info plate confirms it's Icecelle blue from factory. This is trippy...

More confusing than Jack's GR-swapped tiptronic GS.
