Re: Fans.
Basically
I'd start at temp sensors and a good radiator/cooling system bleed if you haven't already and go from there.. is all pretty basic stuff though.

Re: Fans.
Shhhhhhhhhhhtuart has them I think.
They're around the thermostat housing. One is back towards being in line with your battery terminal and one is a little further toward the front of the car.

Which one though? Or both?
In that case may be fan switch or something but doubt it.

Re: Fans.
Get mechanic to chuck a temp gun on it and see if it actually is getting too hot or if gauge is incorrect.

Has he looked at the car and checked the flow of the radiator?c0n13oX wrote:Mechanic said will most likely need a new radiator.... whereabouts would be the best place to get one?
I hate when people will tell you it is radiator related without even looking...
I just had to add it ......

Re: Fans.
All the aluminium radiators on the net are manual ones, regardless of what they tell you. I found out the hard way. It worked out cheaper to buy a manual one and hook up and external transmission cooler.
