Not sure if any one has checked out the new P plate laws for NSW, but they have pretty much re worked the whole system. for any one interested you can now..
- No longer drive s2000's
- FTO GPXs now require you to "contact the RMS" before being allowed to drive them.
- Turbo 200sx S15s are now legal
- Early model RX8s have been banned.
- Still can't drive Twin turbo supras or GTOs despite their power to weight 'technically' being under 130 kws per ton, (don't hold me to this just what I worked out). Personally I was hoping the government would let those two through, not surprised they didn't though.
- Still no information on GP Version Rs, its like they don't exist to the RMS.
- Turbo 180sxs are potentially legal, "contact RMS" like the GPX.
- The wording of "Engine modifications are banned" has been changed to " Significant engine modifications are now banned". This probably gives us P platers a little more leeway with light modification.
Most of the banning probably won't effect any of the P platers now because it only applies to those who gain their license after the 1st of August 2014, but I found this interesting non the less.
