Ok so seeing as too lazy too read all that. The manifold has to be for gr or they dont work too many vac holes just as gr manifold doesn't work on mivec even if modified and yes i tried. Ecu and loom will need to be changed to suit

Yes changed the loom and ECU's and manifold an used the MAF and it runs sweet as a nut now! Was a bit of a job getting the looms in and out with the heater in the way! Thanks very much for your help everybody

Re: Replacing a non mivec engine into a mivec car
Just looking through and my mivec swapped gx which we're trying to swap the engine into a gpx has a maf sensor with the plug like a non mivec gr so im wondering if ill need the whole harness or how to bypass the maf sensor when I put the engine in the gpxDaniel2019 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 06, 2014 9:58 pm MAF sensor is the sensor that goes between your air box/filter and your intake manifold. Is only found on non-mivec engines. Mivec engines have a MAP sensor. Does the car have any engine light on?
