So rotated my tyres the other day thanks to my hoist at work (suckers!) and one in the front had a buckle in the wheel so I moved it to the back (no biggie was rotating anyway to get SP Sports on front)
Now my steering wheel isn't straight? About 5 degrees to the right and the car is straight... I dont think it was doing this before I rotated them but I could be wrong and was just used to it.. I just figured my alignment was out.
Anyway, I ran it over the Safe-T-Stop this arvo and my alignment is spot on?

Just weird that it wasnt happening before I rotated the tyres.. I'm pretty sure it was straight before...

I didnt do an alignment I just rotated and balanced my tyres haha. Its pretty fucked I'm sure I would've noticed it before hahahah

Yeah iunno. Safe-T-Stop said alignment was fine this afternoon although its not overly reliable.

Rotating tyres doesn't bend steering arms or make the whole steering wheel slip on the shaft, Uve just never noticed.
Probs did it when ya buckled the wheel
Because nothing is faster than a p plater in a commodore.....

Yeah I dunno. It's pretty rooted surely I woulda noticed it.. I noticed it as soon as I got in it to drive it after rotating.
And the wheel was already buckled
It's ok I have some tyres for my 17s finally so painting them and swapping them and putting them on.

You do realise a rear end that's out of alignment can make your steering off centre while driving?

Of course, but I didn't do an alignment. The only thing I did was rotate and move buckled wheel to rear. Surely it would be more fucked with the buckle up front? My steering used to be shuddery.. rotating tyres fixed that (obviously because of buckle)

When you get an alignment done, the aligner dude should clamp your steering wheel straight and then align your wheels.

Yeah I'm going to do an alignment at work on Saturday and see how we go. Buckled wheel should be giving me more problems on the front though..
