Hi, so my car has trouble starting, it starts but then dies as soon as i let go of the key. I took apart the plastic surrounding the ignition to see if there was a a loose wire or something . It turns out i was right there is a loose wire coming from this yellow box thingy . Can anyone tell me what it does ? As i have replaced with a 2nd hand one from a wrecked fto and soldered the wires together but the car still won't start and when i turn the key to on the dashlights flash for a second and go off and they dont come back on unless i leave the keys out of the ignition for like 3 mins and put them back in but the same thing happens.

OK, thats just part of the wiring for the ignition barrel I think. That wont be your problem. Its much more likely going to be the things mentioned in the other thread.
