Anyway, if you do have spark or fuel issues you could be pushing/clutching the FTO up and down the street all day and still not start it.

Live on a slight hill, or really flat ground? haha
I wouldn't be able to do that here due to the damn uneven gravel, and the fact that I'm not the hulk...

I remember when my battery was dead, had to push it on a flat street, quickly jump in and pop the clutch.

Re: Marks silver gpx
ok so I think I have a problem with the ignition failure sensor..
anyone had any experience with this before? how much would it cost to fix something like this, im having an auto electrician come around tomorrow to have a look, is that a good idea or is it something I can fix myself?

Re: Marks silver gpx
IFS is a 2 minute job to replace, not very expensive either.

Re: Marks silver gpx
sparky came and narrowed it down to the ignition failure sensor or the camshaft sensor (was quite expensive telling me what I had already suspected
) but at least I know now. hopefully its easy for me to replace like you guys said

Re: Marks silver gpx
She is alive again!
Big thanks to dwayne for giving me a lot of advice thanks also to everyone else who did the same and to sahin for getting me the ifs very quickly and efficiently
It had a bit of white smoke coming from the exhaust when it kicked into life, i know white means coolant/water, could it be some rain water that got in as I was working on the car (light rain) or is more likely a leak somewhere? its never had smoke before from it..
But now I can get it registered and begin improving on it!
plans are in no real order:
-front strut brace
-lowered springs
-led dash upgrade
-facelift bumper
-version r spoiler
-interior work
