Just a point on that, it says 48" tubes, make sure these will fit under the rear bumper, i only say this cause i got 46" tubes on the rear and because of my exhaust they only just fit, plus u should keep a little distance between the globe and the exhaust otherwise u may have heat probs!

may pay to get out the tape measure and just check first!!

Well, the ones I originally wanted were just the normal Gold series, I think. Which were all together with shipping US $141.00.

I don't know how you found this guy that is selling OPTX's for US $171 inc shipping, Gini_GuGu. Because some of the places that I have asked, the shipping has been between US $60 to US $100, on top of an avarage price of US $160 for the actaul OPTX's 8O

So even if nothing happens with this group buy I would really like to know the contact details of this person so I could get them myself.

Sorry I went back tru this thread and didn't word it properly...

that
$171 was just the shipping for 4 sets, or was it 6? Plus you still need to buy the neons on top of that which were like $100 USD or so each set...

Though, I may have found the cure...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 2483928823

$210 for the set, and $30 for shipping... Plus they are led and you can change the colour of em too, and it seems like they have all the goodies of the street glow optix...

Only things... not sure, if they're water proof, and they seem to be a little longer then streetglows... will these fit?

They also kinda look wierd... but i havn't seen any close ups of street glow optix.....

Still pretty good price, i think for the set shipped...

Hmm, these look interesting.
Another concern is whether these are bright enough...

I donno if you asked him, I asking him if there were waterproof, and also if he has pictures of these on a real car...

Thank you for writing to us. We are delighted to hear from you. Here's the answer to your queries:

The UNDERBODY LED 7 COLOR FULL SET KIT W REMOTE DANCER is weather proof, but not suitable to be submerge in water. When fitted, during the night, the lights reflects off the ground. It will be less visible during the day though. However it has 60 leds in the 36" tubes and 90 leds in the 48" tubes hence you can be ensure that it will be very bright.

The different modes of lighting are shown in the auction page and each tube act independently of each other.

We sincerely hope the above information is helpful to you. Should you have any further queries, feel free to write to us. We look forward to having the opportunity to serve your needs on automotive accessories and parts.

Will water resistant be enough? opinions?

i don't think they actually make water proof neons, ive been lookin for a while and havent found any, in fact im not even convinced that streetglows r fully water proof, it would just cost too much to do on a neon tube!!

Personnally im goin to try and use like a liquid nails or selleys all clear type of thing to just seal the ends of the tube in the hope that it will prevent water seepin in, mayb even silicone or something, i think that that is the best your gunna get

Man, that's the answer I got basically.

I donno, cos it's pretty cheap, I might be thinking about these a bit more. But like how good is "water proof" do you think?

Maybe some manufacturers just use that term to cover their asses, and with some, could water proof is pretty good. :?

I'd like to see a comparison of these with the street glows... or maybe a nice close up of street glows led neons... if they look similar enough, i'll prolly buy a set of these ebay ones...

Im just gonna wait till spring time and get the ones on ebay for $100. Thats cheap and plus u gotta be sensible to not drive through big ass puddles.

Those LED ones are being sold at Autobahn for $170 but i still wouldnt buy them because they are not as bright as the neons.

that they do but hey they are the best... there is nothing else on the market that can compete with what ICELED can do as they have active components in the tubes. but is also strong enough to driver over a tube without breaking...

so it all depends on how you want to go as it is a completely modlar system so you can add to the complete system at any time... as EVERYTHING works together with 1 another..

cheers

I've had bad experience with Vegas Glow Neons, first of all my controller box modual thing shorted so none of them would work, ordered a new one (at my expense) and it blew 2 of the tubes, whats more you can't order individual tubes so i now have to buy a whole new set

Heheh

I just got a set of under body neons for free. AeroPro.

Mate of mine took them off his XR6T Ute and said "if you don't take 'em I'm gonna chuck em"

Only catch - he's broken one of the long tubes.

So now, coupled with my interior neons, I'll have a light show!!......Once I get my car back.
