Wireless gateway to Vehicle OBD Network
just after everyone's thoughts on these.
Looks pretty interesting. I know there are similar products on the market already. namely being the bluetooth versions. (in fact I have a OBDII scan tool sitting on my desk unopened... from 4 months ago, as I'm typing this.) I think the major difference is that this is wi-fi, so multiple devices should be able to connect to it, and also making it easier to connect to depending on your device.

I use one of these & the Torque app. Works ok, little bit laggy over bluetooth, but does everything that other software you linked does.

Re: Wireless gateway to Vehicle OBD Network
yup, I have one of those. Now I just need to get off my ass and actually plug it in , to see if it works with the golf (pretty sure it'll work with the lotus).
I just like the idea of the wifi, cos my phone is bluetoothed to the car already...
btw, how laggy is it?

It's fine for checking errors codes & seeing live feedback, but I wouldn't want to reply on any datalogging accuracy lol
They do work on Golfs, I've use it on my old mans MkV Golf.

Re: Wireless gateway to Vehicle OBD Network
Ok I admit. I sorted via cheapest listing. There were some listed as local stock and asked $30 for them with two days delivery. I chose one from China for 8 bucks with 1 month delivery.
