As in tomorrow? Deal, remind me in the morning
Should've. Wouldve been about the same total cost. But less enjoyment (and frustration) out of building it and no reco'd gearbox and engine + ported heads

Getting there. Need the C clips that hold the selector cables to the bracket. Also is there something that is supposed to hold the ring of the gear selectors to the little brackets on the gearbox? Or does the C clip up on the selector bracket do that?dstocks wrote:Getting closer!

Re: Daniel's Rookie DIY FTO Build!
Guys with the car being next to finished (and without jinxing it) I would like to send big thanks to everyone involved whether it be morale support or helping with the car! This car would be either nowhere near finished or be a large ball of flames by now without all the help.
I must give a huge thank you to Fraz for all of his help and hard work on the engine and gearbox and getting it all installed and in the engine bay + advice on all my stupid questions, brake work and countless other things!
Moar huge thanks go to Martin for several weekends getting everything together, for finding and fixing my immobilizer problem, big help with diagnosing and fixing very confusing and dodgy wiring problems, installing driveshafts, changing tie rods etc. and getting rid of the rubbish Oettinger beer in my fridge + many hilarious moments
Moar thanks and a notable mention to Lawso for help with many various things and always being happy to help no matter how hungover he was
Moar thanks to Dwayne for super quick shipped parts and several phone calls of advice and encouragement!
Moar thanks to Mr President for putting up with us bothering him with various questions that were probably easily found with the search function (
) and for just putting up with me being a pest in general..
Moar thanks to my bestie for a couple of phone calls while trying to solve a few issues with the car.
And also to everyone else involved with just general advice or answering forum questions, you know who you are!
Bringing many extra beers to the bonfire (not Carltons - you guys can choose!) as a bit of a thank you. Also happy to give the car out to a few select people for a track day for those who helped out a crazy amount.
THANK YOU!
