Re: Sahin's FTO
Done quite a bit lately after moving houses
Firstly was the new Rockford Fosgate 6x9's in the back, powered by a 4 channel Clarion amp
And a 1500w Kenwood Sub also powered by the Clarion Amp
Next up was rewiring my headlights, fog lights and indicators as the wiring was a bit sh*tty because I rushed it last time.. So done all that and it looks pretty much factory facelift now
Next was installing the new horns, so I don't sound like a motorbike when I beep my horn lol so now It sounds pretty decent!
Next was the realignment of my front bar. because my panel beater was lazy and I rushed him and he just whacked it on without lining anything up, so I got it pretty flush everywhere.
Next was installing new springs and shocks as mine were so hard it's not even funny! (No pun)
So I bought yangs red FTO and with it Included some suspension. so now I'm running KYB Excel G shocks with Tien springs and Cusco camber tops. So pretty happy with that, also chucked in my new drop links that I got a while ago, and waiting on my bushes from bennoz. (Rear trailing arm bushes and swaybar to chassis bushes) buying alloy rear lower control arms this week to compliment the new bushes and the hard race camber and toe arms that are yet to be installed, that will be everything suspension related done on the rear of the car to finish it off.
Next up was my exhaust.. I got an exhaust system from Chebus a while ago from my old wreck and somehow the rear resonator collapsed and needed to be replaced as it was making an awful sound! So ducked around to the exhaust shop today and they put a new resonator on for $80
This exhaust is coming off though as I plan to steal the one from my newly aquired FTO that I got from yang. It has a full stainless steel exhaust system with quad tips on it. So should look good and sound decent
I also replaced the drivers side window seal as my panelbeater fucked mine and it was leaking like crazy
Next up was installing my new AC Condenser and AC Compressor that I got from dads 2000 model wreck, so I've got all that in and ready to regas next week! Can't wait!
Repainted my wipers gloss black as they were rusty.. And put my new fto aus stickers on
Big thanks to Matt who helped with some of the work in this update lol

Re: Sahin's FTO
nice!
How exactly do you align the bar? Just loosen all the bolts and try push it up a bit more and tighten?
I'll have to do this soonish...

Re: Sahin's FTO
So a bit has happened lol
I got a new Y Pipe made up as mine was made like sh*t so I got it remade and the other exhaust system on from tangs red fto that I bought. so now I'm running RPW Extractors, 2.5 inch mandrel bent Y Pipe, high flow cat and 2.5inch mandrel bent stainless steel cat back, quad tip! Haha f**k I sound like Taz
Got 4 brand new tires (215/45R17) Achillies ATR 2
Also got a new rear bar because when I cut out the exhaust hole for the other side (For the quad tip exhaust) I fucked it up, so I got a new one and it was cut out professionally and respected
(I needed a new one anyway)
Got a new sub box from Matt and it's hectic now
Replaced my starter motor
And got all the right door card screws and clips and sh*t so it's looking mad!
And new stickers added coz I'm fuckin spono'd
Cleaned my engine too, it's a bit clean!

Re: Sahin's FTO
Update time!
So the compressor from dad's car that I recently put in didn't work, so I couldn't regas it with that one in. So I pulled the one out of my maroon wreck and installed that in mine and it works perfectly, so now I finally have fully working aircon after 2 years!
New aircon belt
Took all the stickers off \o/
Wired up another mono block amp to run my sub, so now I'm running all my speakers front and rear from a 4 channel, and my sub from the monoblock and it's crazy loud!
All wired properly with 12gauge speaker wire front and rear. I don't know if anyone's tried to upgrade their speaker wire through the doors, but holy f**k, what a pain in the ass to get it through the grommet in the door.
Acquired some DC side skirts (sitting in the shed)
And am going to get a Dwayne front bar, so I'll have Dwayne front bar and side skirts with kaze fenders (painted and in the cupboard)
I'm still deciding if I want the rear bar or not.
Put my hard race camber and toe arms in and that fixed the awful squeak in the rear.
I've got the trailing arm bushes for the rear ready to go in, but am waiting on the swaybar bushes so I can do it all at once.
Installed a factory option momo wheel and upgraded to the facelift airbag indicator stalk.

Re: Sahin's FTO
Yeah those door grommets are a pain... I had to run wiring for my auto window winders, most annoying job ever :/
