I'm at my wits end with a clutch master cylinder/slave cylinder.
My GPvR may be set fire to tonight through frustration.
OK !!!!

Problem: Gearbox/Clutch/Hydraulics
While the vehicle is off Gears will select no worries.
Clutch has good pressure under foot.
Once vehicle has started cant select gears... Clutch to floor.. and as im pushing it into 1st it begins to move..
I can start it in gear and hold both the clutch down and the brake down and the vehicle moves forward as I let the brake out.
(To me that says clutch plates are good)
Ive bled it multiple times. And about to do it again right now.....
Unfortunately I haven't the tools or the know-how to fix it.

When you press your foot on the clutch, does the slave on the gearbox activate the lever. If not, slave might be shot. My slave crapped itself on the way home from work one day. Could change gears while the car was turned off, but to actually move, needed to start the car while in gear.

When my slave went...
You couldn't see any leaking fluid as the rubber boot on the slave was holding all the fluid
But my master reservoir was half empty.

Yep, same with mine. Press the clutch and the slave did nuffin.

When my slave went, I had the clutch pedal squishy as hell, no pressure at all.

Btw, have you tried replacing both the master and slave cylinders? 2 man easy job and cheap parts.

Ive got pressure and the slave moves fine although not enough I think

Sounds like a shot slave cylinder to me. Get someone else in the car to pump the pedal.

- Press & hold the pedal, look at the slave cylinder. Is it moving back in slowly? If yes, seals are shot in it. Is there any fluid leaking from it? If yes, seals are shot in it.

- Pump the pedal numerous times while looking at the slave. Does each press send the slave further out each time? If yes, you still have air in the system & it needs to be bled properly.

If the slave is shot (which is the most common part to go) replace both it & the master cylinder. If 1 is gone, the other is not far behind it. If the slave has been pushed in & out 10,000 times, then so has the plunger in the master.

Both parts are cheap (about $40ish each) & relatively easy to swap out. Also relatively cheap if you get a mechanic to swap them out. Most auto parts shops can get them in.
Clutch Master Cylinder: IBSJB 7473 (IBS Brand) or Clutch Slave Cylinder also: JB9531 (Protex brand)
Clutch Slave Cylinder: IBSJB 7474 (IBS Brand)

If you plan on bleeding it yourself, do yourself a favour & buy the right tools for the job. Get a bleed kit from any autoshop. Best 20 bucks you'll ever spend for piece of mind.
