Roo'd it going around a corner last night. Fucksake. Headlight's a goner, though the low beam still works (misaligned I'm pretty sure). There's like a half dozen pock marks in the bumper, including the one nearly in the middle (I dunno wtf happened there, claws probably), and stress lines everywhere. Remarkably, a lot else seems intact. Fender is fine, I can't spot anything wrong much on the inside, though I wouldn't trust my judgement. Can't catch a break.

Anyone have a facelift left headlight for sale?

Debating at the moment. Going to get a quote from the shop who did the work last time and see if they think it can be done under $1100. (my excess)

Except it's a no win situation this time Vectose!

I dont remember the phone ringing. Ballast is the little box that bolts to the underneath side of the headlight. Looking at the pictures, I wouldnt have thought it was damaged.

Possibly not. The top bracket is snapped, but that's not very surprising. After the public holidays I think I'll run down to the repair shop and get them to do a quote. If they can 100% do it cheaper than $1100 then I guess I might go from there..

Sucks about the headlight and damage.
Atleast you now have a new engine, despite it not being the original intended.
