So driveshafts are out.

CV boots are fine but the other ends of the driveshafts have just been sitting while wrapped up in plastic. They have sand and sh*t all through them due to the weather and sitting for so long.. what is the best way to clean them out so I can re-grease them while clean?

Clean the CV's or the shaft splines?

Not the CVs but the other ends of the driveshafts that connect to the gearbox.

Don't know the technical name, I'm too retarded for that.

Clean with soap/water/hose, then clean with brake clean or similar, let them dry. Rub on a small amount of grease to stop them corroding and make them easier to install.

Soap/water/hose then can I just use degreaser? If so I will just go get some grease tomorrow and set them up ready to go.

Degreaser will leave a film on the part, brake clean will evaporate and leave them film free.
Go with brake clean.

Yes, you are just using the soap and water to get rid of the sand/dirt/dust, the brake clean will get rid of the soap and any old grease.

Intake manifold braces on, heat shields on, gearbox cleaned/degreased, new release bearing, degreased engine bay, re-painted peeling paint in engine bay, cleaned out driveshafts, steering rack boots replaced, replaced fuel filter, all belts now on engine, all ancillaries bolted on.

Just gotta lift up the engine, bolt flywheel + clutch on, bolt gearbox on and its ready to go in

Big big big thank you once again to Fraz for all the help. Lawso slept half the time
