Re: Phones
Given hipsters have Samsungs, more Samsungs are having their screen replaced these days.
Anything with that much glass in the hands of clutzes will break.
As Silver said, Apple have an efficient replacement/ repair program, so the issues are typically dealt with quickly.
It's the vocal twats... I mean minorities that make it sound like a major drama, which it isn't.
P.S. Never dealt with Apple for issues myself. Haven't needed to.

At least the iPhone returns are good. I dunno, you hear about failures with all brands really,I can't get my head around how so many of them can be lemons though, I mean they're all built the same.

A friend has an Xperia Z, looks so nice, pretty sure you can throw that at things in confidence too.
I think I've fallen in love with the Asus Padfone Infinity 2 though...I just wanna check if it's got the right bandwidths and sh*t for Vodafone..
Now that would be a pain if it failed and had to be sent for repairs...but I really want it lol.

Re: Phones
Technology in general, especially mass market, is built fast with cheap labour and to a cost.
This done, this failure rate can be greater than low volume wares where QC is a higher priority.
Given the big 3s bottom line, a few $120 manufactured pieces of glass and IC aren't worth the headache of QC when they can spit new ones out in minutes.
Any and all brands have issues, it's simply the quantity sold that define how apparent those faults are.
Simply choose what will suit you most. i.e. iPwn.
Meanwhile, Vodafone... *Nelson laugh.

Hipsters can't fit samsungs in their pockets.
And most of the hipsters around here have iPhones.

Re: Phones
The people that say iPhone's are crap are the ones who don't know what they are talking about and just jump on the bandwagon. It's the "cool" thing to hate Apple now.
I have a HTC One, and while it's a great phone I find the screen size just a little too big. I prefer having mobiles as "mobile" phones and not a mini tablet which you need 2 hands to operate most of the time. The iPhone 5(s) in my opinion have the perfect screen size for a mobile phone so that's something to take into consideration, bigger screens are not always better.
In terms of operating systems although Android has more to customise, most of it is just gimmicky and useless. iOS and Android both have a large app selection to choose from (though there are more quality apps on iOS due to it being more regulated) with Windows Phone lacking greatly in apps so much that it's hard to recommend to anyone.
If you do get an Android phone (such as a Samsung) make sure you remove all that crap that comes with it. Samsung have bundled so many useless apps and tweaks on their phones that it's like trying to use a Windows PC infected with malware.

Re: Phones
I went from Iphone to galaxy s4 the day it came out... wish I'd waited and got the s4 active, but love this phone, and converted a few people at work to it. Highly recommended once you get used to it

Sony Xperia Z1 here, built like a brick shithouse, and waterproof too.
Samsung Galaxies are plastic toys, and iPhones, well, only get one of those if you want to be as cool as Astron_Boy...

Thanks for proving my point about the bandwagon, people like you have no idea what they are talking about (and definitely don't know the technicalities behind each phone).shadowarrior wrote: lol

I didn't want to reply back to you since your post proved you don't have enough grey matter to understand any technical or useability points I would have posted. But hey, your post was an amusing read though, hence the expression again.-Nighthawk- wrote:Thanks for proving my point about the bandwagon, people like you have no idea what they are talking about (and definitely don't know the technicalities behind each phone).shadowarrior wrote: lol
