Re: another guess the car game if you want to play
Judging by the existing curves etc... I'd say either a Toyota 86, a Lotus Elise or a Veilside kit

You can fit a passenger in?bjk wrote:Isn't that what the passenger footwell is for?Astron_Boy wrote:It's never tomorrow, only today, and today, tomorrow is yesterday.
So post the f**king pictures already.![]()
Do like Lotus, but lack of trunk puts me off them, was the same for the MR2.

some quick pics, just went for a quick 20 mins drive, for fuel and to re-learn how to drive manual
I'll take some better ones when the car's washed and in a better location, i.e. not in my garage in front of the neglected FTO lol

Thanks mate, I thought so. There are lots of little imperfections that annoy me though... I guess it's going to be the same for any second hand car regardless..ObsidianRadio wrote:Wow. That's beautiful!

The 111R is 141kw I believe... which is nothing extremely powerful (i.e. my GTI is 155kw), but the power to weight is amazing... gearbox is smooth (when I'm not bunny hopping it from the line

yeah me too actually. Not that I had anything against the red, but my preferred colours were (kurmit green, yellow, red), and also I keep buying red cars lolAstron_Boy wrote:Mmm! Nice.
So glad you went with the yellow!

What sort of imperfections are we talking here? Looks like you'll be looking for a Lotus club thenBorepYano wrote:Thanks mate, I thought so. How much do these things weigh anyway? I know they're bloody light!
I thought the FTO height was bad... You'd be a little intimidated then, what about oncoming headlight glare?

141kw is the Yamaha head version. but yea amazing power to weight ratio. but yea the height matter came to mind when I went for that ride in the one here in SABorepYano wrote:The 111R is 141kw I believe... which is nothing extremely powerful (i.e. my GTI is 155kw), but the power to weight is amazing... gearbox is smooth (when I'm not bunny hopping it from the line), no steering is tight. ...and after my very brief drive, I realised that most bull bars on unmodified 4WDs are mounted at or above my head level. lol

I believe the kerb weight for them is about the 800kg mark?ObsidianRadio wrote:How much do these things weigh anyway? I know they're bloody light!
There are two types of people on forums; those that give helpful advice, and the others

Re: another guess the car game if you want to play
it's the same as the one I was looking at in SA, only no hard top, no engine mods, 40000km less on the clock; front the photos you sent through, the interior isn't has nicely looked after.... but a whole lot cheaper as well.kiz wrote: 141kw is the Yamaha head version. but yea amazing power to weight ratio. but yea the height matter came to mind when I went for that ride in the one here in SA![]()
kerb weight 860kg according to the stats.ObsidianRadio wrote:How much do these things weigh anyway? I know they're bloody light!
Just scuff marks on the entry panels; a couple paint chips on the engine lid (where it hits the roof panel if you open it too far. a couple of minor chips in plastic grill bits (one of which is visible in the second guessing photo I took). just little things, but because I'm anal, it'll bug me.. am now looking into CF interior parts...ObsidianRadio wrote:What sort of imperfections are we talking here? Already been on the Aussie Elise forum for a while now actually, just been lurking in the for sale section lol
Don't worry, I'll still be on here... I like the BS we get up to here
