As if you can talk.

They look rad together! Your mate just needs a new badge..
Also what happened with the camera??
Which badge? He's already got the "evil M"

Ah, the camera was a bit of a d'oh! moment. I was driving with the windows down and a wasp landed on my camera bag, so I pulled over and tossed it out onto the grass... yeah. :geny: the landing was obviously not soft enough.

But now I have something I can ask for as a Christmas present, hahaha.

Some small goodies. Just need some cable ties and mesh for the non-fog-light holes, and probably a bit of pipe for between the stock intake and the pod.

Excellent. Just picked it up for $65 shipped. Not new, but freshly oiled I'm told, and it'll definitely be better than the filter that's in the box at the moment. That thing is filthy.

PVC \o/

Was going to get a rubber reducer but it didn't quite fit snug on the end of the pod, was a good 5mm gap. Yay for Bunnings, haha.

Would people who have pod filters describe the sound as a little bubbly? I guess it depends on the design too? MIVEC is much more exciting, the noise just seems to build past 4000rpm.

Dunno if my mushroom counts but..bubbly? I'd describe mine as throaty..I think of a deep motorbike sound. Sound past 4000 is the best!

I can't really describe the sound but it definitely doesn't come anywhere close to a motorbike, none of the motorbikes I have owned.
It does give a more prominent mivec noise when it kicks in and a swoosh when I turn off the engine.

Yeah, was sad.

Well, maybe not bubbly, but a burble? We'll have to compare.

That's about it. More of a growl than a rasp.

Finally paid off the last of the work from the insurance job. The extra of trial fitting, prime and rub back and extra paint for the bar being a bit larger. Just $350, which was nice (wasn't entirely sure what to expect, I was planning for a lot more).

On the  side of things, might've jumped the gun by requesting the reimbursement earlier than all of this paperwork being done. I must've missed something regarding that, either that or I just :geny: 'ed it. On the plus side, because I fit an aftermarket bar there were a few things that the shop included in their original quote that were no longer required. (a "Front air shute" that bolts to the top of the radiator?? a bar stiffener, and also the left foglight/indicator assembly). Which means, I've been told, that I should be able to claim those back as well, to a cool $890.20. Think I might wait till later tonight to email insurance about that though, haha.

So this happened:

Image

I better get cracking on what I'm doing with the major service... :? If only this had happened in winter, and not summer when Tim is hibernating in an air conditioned room. Maybe can plan for a cooler weekend... Hmmm.

In other news, turns out I'm getting $979.22 back and not the figure I mentioned earlier (gst, whoo). Perhaps it's a good thing new OEM parts are hella expensive!
