Open Pod Filter RWC?

Post by -Nighthawk- »

Hi guys,

I'm taking my car in for a RWC soon but I was wondering if having an Open Pod Filter will pass the RWC? (in Victoria).

Getting mixed results, but it looks like I might need to put the stock air filter box back in. Does anyone know of a place in Australia that sells the stock air filter cheaply? The prices I've found are $50+ :\

Cheers

Vic is worse than NSW. It's a fail...

Best bet get a stock set-up off Dwayne.
I just had to add it ......

When my fto got a rwc, the pod was sitting in the bottom of the air box. But the top half of the air box wasn't there, so you could see there was a pod filter there. Only I'n about 50%.

But I'd get a stock one just to be safe

Last I spoke with Dwayne, he had bottoms only, no tops. Still worth asking him.

Would offer for you to use mine to pass, but honestly I don't have the time to box and auspost it. Sorry.

No-one in Vic have the airbox they could lend?

It's funny, we have the HKS mushroom on visible display, been like that since bought the car.
Passes everytime.
But then again, the guy is a friend of the family :silent:

Mine was passed no worries, but that's in NSW. They didn't care at all about anything defectable, just mentioned that the exhaust protruded to far and if I anyone asked I was to say I put the exhaust on after the RWC check.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure I have my stock airbox at my parents house, I'll have to check.

I'm still missing the air filter however, does anyone know where I can find one cheap?
